The Draft - The Few , The Best , The Rookies
Even though the 1998 NBA season will obviously be starting late this year , there are some plans that need to be made NOW regarding your future team
Rookie Draft : Who will get significant playing time and who will be
Contributing points to your team , including points per
Minute leagues.
Its great that Olowokandi was chosen first but alas the Clippers have done it again. ..Whose PT will he get , Ike Austins , Rodney Rogers , Mo Taylor, Lorenzen Wright. There are a lot of big bodies on this team and, AND the Candy Man is not exactly a seasoned playerAvoid him and go for :
1. Antawn Jamison..Golden State- He is a 6-9 quick power forward who will Score, Rebound ,Shoot a good FG % , Get some Steals and most of all Play A Lot . If Donyell Marshall doesnt come back 100% , look for Jamison to be their premier player by seasons end. I know he dropped to #4 in the draft but 3 teams will regret it.
2. Jason Williams..Sac Kings A true point guard with smarts and grit ( see off court problems) . A starting position is there for the taking and he will have offensive machines Chris Webber and yes, Corliss Williamson to dish to. Look for lots of Assists and Steals, Some Points and A few Boards (hes scrappy) . I like his chances best in the guard category.
3. Paul Pierce..Boston Celtics- He can score, rebound , run the floor and that will get him playing time. He was a steal for Pittino at #10 and will be a major contributer for this team
OTHERS I LIKE :
BIBBY.ROBERT TRAYLOR.BONZI WELLS.MICHAEL DOLEAC
NOT AS GOOD AS ADVERTISED BUT THE NEXT BEST THING:
LAFRENTZ..VINCE CARTER.LARRY HUGHES.
AND LONG SHOTS:
BRYCE DREWBRIAN SKINNER.ANSU SESAYGREG BUCKNER

STAY TUNED FOR PLAYERS TO WATCH..NEW TEAMS/ TEAMMATES ?
